California Privacy Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the "CCPA") provides California residents the right to request from us, subject to certain exceptions:

  • Disclosure of our practices, including the categories of Personal Information we collect, the categories of sources from which the Personal Information is collected, our purpose(s) for collecting the Personal Information, the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed the Personal Information, whether Personal Information is "sold" to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration or "shared" with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the length of time we retain each category of Personal Information, or if that is not possible, the criteria we use to determine the retention period, among other information. This Privacy Notice, along with any other terms provided to you at or before the collection of your Personal Information contain such information; please read them carefully.
  • Access to the categories and specific pieces of your Personal Information we have collected, the categories of sources from which such Personal Information was collected, our business or commercial purpose for collecting such Personal Information, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose such Personal Information. Therefore, we do not provide an option to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your Personal Information.

As required by the CCPA, we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

You may exercise your rights by sending a request to dpo@seconddinner.com We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days, and provide a substantive response or notify you of the reason and extension period (up to an additional 45 days) within 45 days. Under the CCPA, only you or an authorized agent may make a request related to your Personal Information. We must verify your identity to respond to certain requests. We may do so by requiring you to give a declaration as to your identity under penalty of perjury, and requesting that you provide information to verify your identity, such as providing your contact information, and using that information to communicate with us.

California's Shine the Light Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as "Shine The Light" law, permits California residents to annually request, free of charge, information about the disclosure of their Personal Information (if any) to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not share Personal Information with third parties for such purposes.

Do-Not-Track

Do-Not-Track is an initiative that developed a signal that an Internet user may activate to inform websites that the user does not want to have their data tracked. The Website does not currently respond to such signals.

Children

The Website is not intended for children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from children under 13.
